Holy fuck how do you even….
I swear if I hear one more person say Joe Paterno is innocent or a victim I will flip out. When Paterno was alerted, not just by anyone but by a staff member and former student, that Jerry Sandusky was seen in the showers of a PSU locker room with a child, Paterno damned himself by not acting on that information properly. Paterno alerted the president of the university, and the athletic director. Okay, I can understand, keep it under wraps, investigate the matter, don’t act rashly; conduct an investigation silently that preserves the integrity of the university while being sensitive to the families of the victims.
Okay. Makes sense.
Too bad that never happened.
The athletic director and the President proceeded to NOT ALERT POLICE and instead give Sandusky a stern reprimand, and ordered him to stay off campus. Which of course, he didn’t.
